Automation Engineer (f/m/d)

We are looking for a talented and experienced Automation Engineer to come join our team and develop amazing games with us.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a state-of-the-art and robust Automation Framework for game testing
  • Work closely with engineers, designers and the testing team to understand the game architecture and features in order to develop automated testing solutions for rapid and high-quality delivery of the game
  • Implement continuous integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) for regular and on demand automation execution
  • Analyze generated test reports, log valid product defects, take decisions on the quality of the build and communicate the status of the build quality to stakeholders
  • Maintain the health of the automation framework and scripts and improve the implementation over time
  • Develop tools and applications to enhance developer productivity in the game testing life cycle
  • Collaborate with engineering and QA teams, with an understanding of their objectives of the user stories.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, brainstorming and other initiatives of prototype development and innovation


Qualifications

  • A strong conceptual understanding and hands-on coding expertise in one or more of the following languages: C# and C++
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins or comparable frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with testing of realtime 3d video games or any comparable interactive 3d application
  • Good understanding of software development and testing processes
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Good verbal and communication skills
  • Flexible in organizing the work as per the requirements
  • Well organized and autonomous
  • Ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment
  • Open for feedback and enjoys working in a fast-paced, constantly iterative environment
  • Eager to both give and receive developmental feedback


Desirable skills

  • Experience developing games with UE4
  • Experience using the UE4 tools ecosystem
  • Experience programming in Python
  • Experience using Gradle
  • Having developed a robust automation framework and automation scripts
  • Having a strong understanding and hands-on experience in API testing automation
